National Ilan University (NIU) is a public university located in Yilan City, Yilan County, Taiwan. Founded in 1926 as the Taiwan Provincial Ilan School of Agriculture and Forestry, it was reformed into a comprehensive university in 2003. NIU is organized into four colleges—Humanities and Management, Engineering, Bioresources, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science—and offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, with most programs taught in Chinese and some master's-level courses taught in English.
