What Are the Cambridge English Qualifications?
Cambridge English Qualifications are level-based English exams from Cambridge University Press & Assessment. B2 First, C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency each target one CEFR level and test all four skills across four papers. Results are reported on the Cambridge English Scale with a grade and CEFR level, and the certificates never expire.
4 Papers in Every Cambridge Exam
One paper testing reading comprehension plus grammar and vocabulary control: multiple-choice cloze, open cloze, word formation, key word transformation, and long-text comprehension tasks. 52 to 56 questions depending on the exam.
Two parts: a compulsory essay plus a second task chosen from options such as letters or emails, articles, reports, reviews, and proposals. Assessed on Content, Communicative Achievement, Organisation, and Language.
Four parts with 30 questions based on recordings such as interviews, presentations, and everyday conversations. Every recording is played twice. Task types include multiple choice, sentence completion, and multiple matching.
